We, the Doctoral Student Representation at <\/strong>TU Wien<\/strong><\/a>, organize a seminar once per year.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note<\/strong>: The seminar will be conducted entirely in English<\/strong> and is therefore well suited for international doctoral students<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The focus is on getting to know each other, building a strong network among doctoral students, and further developing our activities together. Of course, there will also be time to relax and socialize after the working sessions. The seminar takes place from Friday, October 9 (noon) to Sunday, October 11 (evening)<\/strong>. Accommodation, food, and travel costs are fully covered. The places are limited<\/strong> and the registration is open until end of this month<\/strong> (31.5.2026 EOD)!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A key part will be to plan events for the upcoming winter semester together<\/strong>, such as our grill events, networking events, and other activities for doctoral students. We will also introduce you to the structures, services, and support systems available at TU Wien, so you can take this knowledge back to your departments and help improve communication and engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can I join?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are a doctoral candidate at TU Wien, you are welcome to apply. It does not matter which field you are in or what stage of your PhD you are currently at. If you would like to get involved in doctoral representation \u2014 this seminar is a great opportunity to get started!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How much does it cost? What benefits do i have?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

By joining the E-Tut seminar, you get a free weekend of networking, training, and event planning with other doctoral candidates<\/strong>. It is also a low-threshold way to start contributing to student representation at TU Wien. If you continue afterwards, for example by organizing E-Tuts, this can have concrete study benefits<\/strong>: E-Tut activity can count as 2 ECTS per active semester, and running E-Tuts in two semesters can amount to one additional tuition-fee waiver semester<\/strong>. For students who would otherwise become tuition-fee liable, that can save the regular TU Wien tuition fee of \u20ac363.36 for one semester<\/strong>. The \u00d6H fee still has to be paid every semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
