Non-EU citizens pay ~750\u20ac per semester from their first semester onwards.\u00a0 In addition to these amounts, you will also need to pay the students\u2018 union fee incl. insurance (~20\u20ac per semester). (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tuwien.at\/en\/studies\/admission\/students-union-fee-and-tuition-fee\/tuition-fee\">source<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Waiving of tuition fees for a semester (generally for EU citizens, in exceptional cases for non-EU citizens as well) is granted for several reasons (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tuwien.at\/index.php?eID=dms&amp;s=4&amp;path=Richtlinien%20und%20Verordnungen\/Studienbeitrag_Erlass.pdf\">source<\/a>). For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Commitment and work for councils of the student union. (get involved and come to our next\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/fsdr.at\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"77\">Jour Fixe<\/a>),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Employment of regular students at TU Wien for at least 20 hours per week, given the employment relationship exists for the entire semester,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serious illness for more than two months or pregnancy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Some groups of people, such as refugees, are granted this regulation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Citizen of some countries like, for example, Afghanistan, Yemen or Somalia, have a special agreement to be exempted of tuition fee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In these cases you have to apply for waiving of tuition fees in the Department for Studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more detailed information, please take a look at the website of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tuwien.at\/en\/tu-wien\/organisation\/service-providers\/admission-office\/\">Department for Studies<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In general, the tuition fee is ~380\u20ac per semester for EU nationals from their 9th semester of doctoral studies onwards.
